Finland Brings the Happiness
2021 Kidz SnowFun Tour confirmed
The start to the northern hemisphere winter has not been easy. Many resorts have sadly been forced to keep their lifts closed and with fresh snow arriving weekly it has not been tough for many to keep a positive outlook. Thankfully there is Finland.
Over the course of the last months SnowKidz organisers, Snow Moves! have been working closely to schedule a reduced but still comprehensive Kidz SnowFun Tour. Starting in January, the Tour is scheduled to make 25 stops. At each stop the Tour will introduce kids to skiing with lessons, equipment and fun snow games. What is more impressive is that Organisers have carefully crafted a programme in each location that will adhere to social distancing guidelines and COVID-19 preventative measures. To achieve this groups of participants have been reduced and events will take place outside. But according to Snow Moves! Coordinators, the Finnish Ski Association, the key to a successful Tour will be flexibility and communications. This means local COVID-19 restrictions are constantly monitored and weekly communications are provided to the event hosts. Should situations look to risky the event will simply by postponed to a safer time period.
FIS Bring Children to the Snow Coordinator Andrew Cholinski said “These actions give a glimmer of happiness in trying times. With over 180 events and actions under their belt, we are sure Snow Moves will stage a safe but fun Tour in 2021”
