US Ski Resort to re-Open after 7 Years Closed
Located in New York State, Cockaigne Ski Area is set to re-open this winter, seven years after it shut down following a major fire in 2011.
New owner Isaac Gratto and Adam Pirtz have been working to re-open the resort for the past year and hope the centre will be able to re-open on 1st December with 15 different slopes available.
Construction crews are currently installing ski lifts, building a new lodge and a new attraction, an outdoor stage built for all kinds of musical acts.
The duo’s plan is for the ski area to become a year-round destination.
