Austria set to double up on kids activations

Austria to add a second nationwide project for kids
Each season there are more nations launching nationwide projects to bring children to the snow. Austria is going one step further by expanding to include two nationwide projects.

“Schools on Snow” is a private organisation with a clear goal: Get kids from the class rooms on to the snow. Launched in 2012, the programme has focused on the province of Salzburg with outstanding results. To date over 9’000 children have participated in the programme and experienced snow sports for the first time. Recently, the programme, which has the support of the Austrian Ski Association, expanded nationwide, to include the provinces of Tyrol, Carinthia, Styria, Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Vienna.

This upcoming season, it will feature new activities in some of these provinces including skiing classes for parents, skiing classes during school holidays and summer activities.
